Happy Easter! Spring hasn't really sprung yet around here, but at least the Easter season has arrived. I got to spend the day with my family, which is always nice. The only thing I really missed today was being able to sing with the St. Olaf Lutheran Church choir down in Austin. I very much enjoyed last year's Good Friday and Easter services. I guess I will just have to work quickly to find another home church here in Fergus Falls so I can join a choir and meet some people.
I've been at my new job for more than a month now, which seems odd. I'm still really getting adjusted to a lot of the differences with my Daily Journal job versus my Austin Post-Bulletin job. I'm slowly getting adapted to the crime beat and learning more and more with that all the time, it seems. With the weather still being so snowy and cold, it hasn't been a priority to get out and about. Although I have visited the city bakery downtown a couple of times already. I love that there's a bakery here, but I have a feeling that can also be a dangerous thing. Dangerous calorie-wise anyway. I'm excited for some nicer weather and for summer to arrive so I can start enjoying some of the lakes and other fun things around my new community.
