Heather joined the sports website Cold Omaha in January 2017 to provide Minnesota Wild coverage and insights. Cold Omaha was under the Zone Coverage umbrella. She wrote a weekly column on the site focusing on stats, general thoughts on players and the team, and the potential playoff picture.
Heather also covered the 2017 boys' state high school hockey tournament (Class 1A and Class 2A) from start to finish, writing features, game stories and posting videos of the postgame news conferences with athletes and coaches.
